Office Cherifien Des Phosphates (OCP) is the world's largest phosphate fertilizer exporter. It controls 75% of the world's phosphate reserves. OCP Jorf Lasfar manufactures almost 1 million tons of fertilizer annually for the whole of Africa. The company is seeking to push the envelope even further by bringing new phosphate and blended fertilizer plants to Africa. OCP has three ongoing grassroot projects worth $3.15 billion in Morocco, Nigeria and Ethiopia. The facility in Ethiopia will have a capacity of 2.5 million tons of fertilizer and is said to be Africa's biggest manufacturing facility outside Morocco.
