Supreme Court Denies Challenge to New York Nuclear Subsidy - The U.S. Supreme Court rejected a power industry trade group's petition to challenge New York state's plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through the subsidization of nuclear power plants. The Electric Power Supply Association claimed in a lawsuit that the New York Public Service Commission had violated federal law requiring power rates be "just and reasonable" when they elected to award $7 billion in rate increases through their zero-emissions credit program. FERC Approves Rates for EPIC Crude Oil Pipeline - The U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approved the rate structure and terms of service for EPIC Crude Pipeline LP's new 900,000-barrel-per-day crude oil pipeline from the Permian basin to Corpus Christi, Texas, subject to some conditions.
