Kinder Morgan's Gulf LNG liquefaction project in Pascagoula, Mississipi, took another step forward last week when the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) granted it a favorable final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).
The site is designed to produce about 11.5 million metric tons per year of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for export when it is operational. Construction is expected to begin in 2020. FERC is expected to make a final decision on the project this summer.
