When U.S. companies decided a few years back to reverse the trend of building liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminals and build LNG export terminals, Asia was the largest market to sell to, and it was mainly China. Then came the trade war. If a deal is agreed upon, the U.S. will be the largest exporter of LNG to China in the next five years. Both countries will profit and benefit from an amicable trade deal, which is expected to be reached sometime this year.
