Gulf LNG, which is owned by Kinder Morgan, was granted approval by the U.S. Department of Energy to export liquefied natural gas to non-free-trade-agreement (FTA) countries from its planned Pascagoula facility in Mississippi. Gulf LNG has yet to make a final investment decision on the project, but all Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and export approvals are in place. The facility would produce 11.5 million metric tons per year of LNG once both trains are fully operational.
