South Korean Ethylene Project Gets Underway, an Industrial Info Market Brief

GS Caltex, South Korea's second-biggest refiner, plans to invest about 2 trillion won ($1.84 billion) to build a new olefins plant to produce 700,000 tons per year of ethylene and 500,000 tons per year of polyethylene. The plants will start commercial operation in 2021.
