PBF Torrance Refining, LLC restarted the lone Crude unit on November 5 at its 155,000-BBL/d Torrance, California, refinery, after it experienced an unplanned outage on November 4. The same unit experienced an upset between September 22-23, and also on September 25.
Imperial Oil Limited has completed a 32-day planned maintenance turnaround for the 20,000-BBL/d Asphalt Crude unit at its 187,000-BBL/d Strathcona Refinery in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The unit is in the process of being restarted and should be fully operational by November 7.
Pemex Transformacion Industrial continues with planned repairs for the 6,000-BBL/d HF Alkylation 2; 25,000-BBL/d HD Unit 700-1 (Diesel HDS); 25,000-BBL/d HD Unit 800-1 (Diesel); and 12,000-BBL/d Isomerization (Pentane & Hexane) units at its 70,000-BBL/d Cadereyta, Mexico, refinery. The turnaround that began on October 7 is expected to be completed by late November.
International
OMV Petrom S.A. is on schedule for a minor, plant-wide maintenance turnaround at its 100,000-BBL/d Petrobrazi Refinery in Romania. The planned turnaround is expected to kick off in March 2020 and last approximately 2 weeks.
Rompetrol Rafinare S.A. is on schedule for planned plant-wide maintenance at its 80,000-BBL/d Petromidia Refinery in Romania. The turnaround is expected to kick off in March 2020 and last approximately 40-45 days.
Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) successfully started commercial operations, on October 30, for the 70,000-BBL/d Gas Condensate 3; 30,000-BBL/d Diesel Hydrotreater; 30,000-BBL/d Naphtha Hydrotreater 2; 12,000-BBL/d Isomerization; and 45,000-BBL/d Kerosene Hydrotreater units, as part of the Refinery Expansion Project at its 140,000-BBL/d Jebel Ali Refinery in Dubai.
