Marathon Petroleum restarted the 225,000-BBL/d Pipe Still 3B (Crude) unit on November 17 at its 450,000-BBL/d Galveston Bay Refinery in Texas City, Texas, after the unit was shut for inspection on November 12. It had been shut from September 4 to September 7 due to issues with a transformer.
Pemex TRI continues with planned repairs for four units at its 70,000-BBL/d Cadereyta, Mexico, refinery. The turnaround that began on October 7, and originally scheduled to be completed by November 20, has been extended until December 5.
Suncor Energy has pushed 35 days of planned maintenance for the 5,660-BBL/d HF Alky unit and five associated units at its 83,000-BBL/d Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, refinery, to April 2021, from September 2020 as previously scheduled.
International
KirishiNefteOrgSyntez has completed planned maintenance at its 420,000-BBL/d Kirishi Refinery in Russia. The 25,000-BBL/d Catalytic Reformer and the 41,600-BBL/d Gasoline Hydrotreater (LK-2B Complex) went down on September 25, and the units were restarted by November 7.
Ufaneftekhim JSC has started a planned maintenance turnaround at its 190,000-BBL/d Ufaneftekhim Refinery in Russia. The turnaround for the 38,500-BBL/d FCCU 1A/1M unit and three other units started mid-November, and completion for the majority of the units is expected by the end of November, whereas the FCCU 1A/1M unit is scheduled to be restarted by the end of December.
Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company (BAORC) began a 25-day planned maintenance turnaround on November 15 for the 175,000-BBL/d CDU 1 (Unit 01) and two other units at its 340,000-BBL/d Bandar Abbas Refinery in Iran. Expectations are to complete repairs and restart the units by December 9.
