ExxonMobil shut down the 240,000-BBL/d Crude B unit today, December 4, due to a line leak at its 350,000-BBL/d Beaumont, Texas, refinery. Repairs are expected to be completed in the next 48 hours, and the unit will be restarted this weekend, December 8.
Calumet Lubricants continues with a plant-wide maintenance turnaround, that began October 18, at its 60,000-BBL/d Shreveport, Louisiana, refinery. Maintenance is now scheduled to be completed in mid-December instead of November 21.
International
SINOPEC Guangzhou Company continues with maintenance work at its 260,000-BBL/d Guangzhou Refinery in China. Four units, and other downstream support units, were taken offline on October 10. Initial completion was set for November 29, but the new startup is scheduled for December 8.
Total Raffinerie Mitteldeutschland GmbH was forced to shut down three units on December 3 at its 240,000-BBL/d Leuna Refinery in Germany, due to power supply issues. Power supply has since been restored, and the affected units are being restarted.
Essar Oil UK has completed a planned maintenance turnaround at its 220,000-BBL/d Stanlow Refinery in the United Kingdom. The 2-week minor maintenance and catalyst change-out for the 14,000-BBL/d HDS (Gas/Oil) unit, initially planned for December, was rescheduled to early November.
