Duke Energy Progress LLC today, August 4, was forced to take the 938-megawatt (MW) Brunswick 01 unit offline at its Brunswick Nuclear Power Station in North Carolina, due to a loss of offsite power as a result of Hurricane Isaias.
Pacific Gas & Electric Company on August 3 took 581.36 MW offline from the Diablo Canyon 02 unit at its Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Station in California, but the unit is ramping back up from an unplanned outage. This event is expected to end today.
NextEra Energy Duane Arnold LLC on August 2 took 96.16 MW offline from the Duane Arnold 01 unit at its Duane Arnold Nuclear Energy Center in Iowa, due to valve-related repairs. This event is expected to end today.
