Nelson Industrial Steam Company's NISCO Cogen Power Station in Louisiana experienced severe wind damage to the building that houses the 113-megawatt (MW) NISCO 01 and 02 units, due to Hurricane Laura. The units were taken offline on August 25, and this event, which was originally expected to end September 14, is now expected to end December 11.
Entergy Louisiana today, September 15, took 152.88 MW offline from the Waterford 03 unit at its Waterford Three Nuclear Power Station in Louisiana. The unit is coasting down in preparation for a refuel on September 25 and is operating at 87%. This event is expected to end September 25.
Dominion Energy-South Carolina today, September 15, took 106.26 MW offline from the Virgil C Summer 01 unit at its Virgil C Summer Nuclear Power Station in South Carolina. The unit is ramping up from repairs on a feedwater valve leak and is operating at 89%. This event is scheduled to end September 16.
