South Africa has overturned environmental approval of the 1,200-megawatt (MW) Thabametsi coal-fired power project, which was being developed by Japan's Marubeni Corporation and South Korean state utility, KEPCO. The investors participating in the project had already pulled out, citing environmental and climate change concerns.
