EIA: U.S. Oil Output Rose Above 11 Million BBL/d in November for First Time Since April - U.S. oil output rose 692,000 barrels per day (BBL/d) in November last year to 11.124 million BBL/d, the first time it has surpassed 11 million BBL/d since last April, according to a monthly report from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). At the same time, demand for distillate fuels such as diesel was down 7.1% from a year earlier and gasoline demand was off by 13.3% (Reuters)
U.S. Oil & Gas Rig Count Rises - The U.S. oil and gas rig count rose six to 384 in the week ending January 29, its highest since May, energy services firm Baker Hughes said. U.S. oil rigs rose six to 295, their highest since May, while gas rigs were unchanged. (Reuters)
