CITGO Petroleum shut down the Lone Crude on June 18, along with the 80,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) vacuum distillation unit (VDU), 69,000-BBL/d fluid catalytic cracking unit (FCCU) 2 and sulfur recovery unit (SRU 1), on the East Side of its 165,000-BBL/d Corpus Christi, Texas, refining complex after loss of third-party steam supply. It is expected to remain offline until June 28.
Flint Hills restarted the 83,125-BBL/d VDU today, June 21, after shutting it down on June 11 at its 210,000-BBL/d West Refinery Complex in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Marathon Petroleum restarted the 20,000-BBL/d Diesel Hydrotreater (ULSD) and 19,000-BBL/d continuous catalytic reformer (CCR) on June 19 at its 92,000-BBL/d Canton, Ohio, refinery. The units were shut down on June 18.
International
Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) restarted the 215,000-BBL/d FCCU on June 21 at its 760,000-BBL/d Jamnagar Special Economic Zone Refinery in India, and is increasing the throughput gradually. The unit was forced to shut down on June 6 due to a reactor valve issue.
TANECO OJSC has started a planned plant-wide maintenance turnaround at its 303,000-BBL/d Taneco Refinery in Russia. The maintenance began on June 21 and is expected to take approximately five weeks to complete.
ENEOS Corporation restarted the 92,000-BBL/d FCC today, June 21, at its 247,000-BBL/d Kawasaki Refinery in Japan. The unit was forced to shut down June 9 due to due to tower issues. The 170,000-BBL/d Crude 2 (PSKJ), the 77,000-BBL/d Crude 3 (PSKN) and the 34,000-BBL/d Reformer 3 units remain operational.
