Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The fluctuation in pricing in the oil and gas market, and ongoing coronavirus pandemic have forced Saudi Aramco to once again extend the bidding dates for the multibillion-dollar Zuluf project. The project consists of five packages, which consists of multiple production facilities such as water injection facilities, tie-in platforms, wellhead topsides and infield pipelines.
The field development aims to boost crude output by as much as 600,000 barrels per day, almost doubling the field's current production capacity. As published in Upstream, the project bidding process has been delayed by a month. The projects are expected to be completed by 2024. In addition to the offshore projects, EPC players are chasing two substantial packages for Zuluf's onshore scope of work.
