Entergy Louisiana LLC is awaiting approval to begin startup activities on the 1,176-megawatt (MW) Waterford 03 Steam Turbine (ST) unit, following Hurricane Ida, at its Waterford Three Nuclear Power Station in Louisiana. Although on-site power has been restored, there are significant transmission line repairs ongoing in the surrounding area, and it could be another week before the unit can begin returning online. There was no significant damage to the nuclear buildings, but there was some damage to various non-nuclear structures.
Entergy Arkansas Incorporated's 988-MW Arkansas Nuclear One 02 ST unit at its Arkansas Nuclear One plant is in preparation mode before coasting down to an upcoming refueling on September 25. The unit is operating at 87%.
CFE Generacion IV EPS, on September 26, expects to begin planned annual major maintenance on the 330-MW Carbon I 01 unit at its Central Termoelectrica Jose Lopez Portillo (Carbon I) plant in Coahuila, Mexico. Completion is expected November 9.
