SUGAR LAND--September 29, 2021--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Independent power producer ALLETE Incorporated (NYSE:ALE) (Duluth, Minnesota) is pushing forward with a long-delayed natural gas-fired, combined-cycle (NGCC) project in Wisconsin through an agreement with Basin Electric Power Cooperative (Bismarck, North Dakota), which provides electricity to 2.8 million customers in nine U.S. states. The agreement unites the efforts of two companies approaching the challenges of the U.S. energy market from opposite ends of the carbon spectrum.
