CORDOBA, ARGENTINA--September 10, 2009--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Last August, the Brazilian petrochemical company Braskem (NYSE:BAK) (Camacari) inaugurated a new Ethyl Tertiary Butyl Ether (ETBE) unit at the company's chemical complex in Camacari, Bahia, in northeastern Brazil. The unit has a 170,000-metric-tons-per-year production capacity, which has been added to the processing capacity of the current Methyl-Tert-Butyl-Ether (MTBE) unit, which itself has been converted into an ETBE production facility.
