Brazil's minister of energy and mines, Alexandre Silveira, announced on Monday at COP28 that his nation expects to raise investments of 200 billion reals (US$40 billion) in the biofuels and renewables sectors by 2037. This includes the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), ethanol, biodiesel and renewable diesel.
