May 10, 2024--Written by Amir Richani for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Heavy rains and floods in Brazil's Rio Grande do Sul have killed more than 100 people and have left more than 150,000 others homeless, according to news sources. About 1.4 million people have been left without electricity as several power plants have shut down due to the floods. Industrial Info continues to monitor plants and facilities across Rio Grande do Sul, including those that have been shut down or curtailed, and those that remain operational.
