After reaching agreements with the Metlakatla and Kitselas aboriginal communities of the First Nation, talks are under way with the Lax Kw'alaams. However, members of the Lax Kw'alaams have voted twice to reject an $825 million offer by Pacific Northwest LNG's parent company, Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia).
