March 9, 2023--Written by Amir Richani for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--First Quantum Minerals Limited (Vancouver, Canada) and its subsidiary Minera Panama (MPSA) said Wednesday it had reached a draft agreement with the government of Panama for a concession contract over the Cobre Panama copper mine. The agreement follows months of negotiations between the government and the mining company. The new draft contract is for 20 years, with an option for a 20-year extension.
