Arkansas Nuclear One Unit Ramping Up After Repairs
Unit 01 of Entergy's Arkansas Nuclear One facility is slowly ramping up to its full load after repairs. The 842-megawatt unit was operating at 23% capacity Thursday. Industrial Info is tracking $80 million in project activity at the power station, including a $20 million Nuclear One Unit 02 refuel maintenance outage that is scheduled for completion in June. Citgo Reschedules Turnaround at Lake Charles Refinery
Citgo has rescheduled the planned turnaround on the 38,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) unicracker at its 420,000-BBL/d Lake Charles refinery. Originally scheduled for June 2, maintenance will now begin on July 20 and last for 20 days. Separately, the 30 days of planned maintenance on the 37,500-BBL/d diesel hydrotreater (LSD), which was previously expected to begin June 4, will not occur until June 2018. (Plant: 1013703)
Phillips 66 Pushes Planned Maintenance at New Jersey Refinery into Early 2017
Phillips 66 will conduct 60 days of planned maintenance next year at its 230,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Bayway refinery in Linden, New Jersey, early next year. The work will start February 2 with oil-out procedures on the 150,000-BBl/d fluid catalytic cracking unit, 85,000-BBL/d gasoline desulfurizer and 54,000-BBL/d DSU 1 (Heavy Gas-Oil Hydrofiner) units. This work was previously scheduled for October 2017, and to be for 30 days. The 22,000-BBL/d SF Alky (ABW) will be worked on in early January for 15 days. It will be taken back down on February 2 as a sympathy outage while work is performed on the above mentioned units. Industrial Info is tracking a $150 million FCC unit modernization at the Bayway Refinery. The company will revamp the existing 150,000-BBL/d FCCU to increase gasoline yields by 4,000 BBL/d and reduce emissions. Jacobs Engineering Group Incorporated (NYSE:JEC) (Dallas, Texas) is performing engineering services for the project, which is set to kick off this summer and be completed in the fourth quarter of this year.
