Formosa Plastics continues a major turnaround of its 1.65 billion-pound-per-year Olefins 1 unit in Point Comfort, Texas. The unit was shut down on March 20 and is expected to remain offline until February 2021. Due to the limitation of contractors currently allowed in the plant in response to COVID-19, execution schedules have been delayed and are taking longer than expected.
