Iraq Unveils Ambitious Plan for 15,000 MW Steam Power Projects

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Iraq's Ministry of Electricity plans to develop new steam power plants with a combined generating capacity of 15,000 megawatts (MW). The effort already has attracted strong interest from more than 100 local and international companies. According to the ministry, three investment models--engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), EPC plus financing (EPC+F), and independent power producer (IPP)--have been proposed to potential investors.
