KOFU, JAPAN--December 29, 2022--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--JFE Steel Corporation (Tokyo, Japan) plans to introduce a large-scale electric arc furnace (EAF) as part of its efforts to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in the Kurashiki Integrated Steel Mill. It is expected to be introduced in time for the closure of the No. 2 Blast Furnace, around 2027 at the earliest.
