Nestle Philippines' Cabuyao, Laguna, factories will soon utilize an additional 17 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy. An agreement has been signed by the food and beverage giant with AboitizPower, where Nestle will purchase the power from the MakBan geothermal power plant. The initial switch of Nestle to renewable power in partnership with Aboitiz dates back in 2017. Two of Nestle's factories in Batangas and Laguna are currently being supplied with "Cleanergy" by Aboitiz. AboitizPower aims to add more to its Cleanergy portfolio in the coming years as the demand for renewable energy increases.
