The most prominent types of biofuels include bio-oil, biodiesel, bioethanol, bio hydrogen and biogas, which can be produced via numerous processes such as chemical, thermal or biochemical methods. In Nigeria, there are 10 active biofuel projects worth US$1.68 billion, primarily for the production of bioethanol.
