Saudi Arabia Accepts Bids for Gas-Fired Power Plants with CCS
NEW DELHI--February 16, 2024--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) has launched a bidding process to develop another 7.2 gigawatts (GW) of natural gas-fired combined-cycle independent power stations that incorporates carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) technology. The SPPC indicated that the total capacity will be divided into four projects in the central and eastern regions of the country. Each region will have two projects of 1.8 GW.
