NRG Energy's 610-megawatt (MW) coal-fired Unit 08 at its W A Parish Power Station located outside of Houston, Texas, caught fire overnight. The fire has been extinguished, but the extent of the damage and a timetable for the unit's return to service are unknown at this time.
