Marathon, on October 3, began to shut down the 145,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Crude 10 A Unit at its 530,000-BBL/d refinery in Garyville, Louisiana, for a 21-day maintenance turnaround. After the event is completed, the 145,000-BBL/d Crude 10 B will shut down for 21 days. The 134,000-BBL/d b/d Fluid Catalytic Cracker Unit (FCCU) 25, 39,600-BBL/d Hydrofluoric Alkylation (HF Alky) 27 and 87,000-BBL/d Gasoline Desulfurizer 55 also were shut down on October 3, for eight weeks of planned maintenance.
