Husky Assesses Damage After Offshore Canadian Leak - Underwater surveys began on Monday after an oil spill off Canada's Atlantic coast as Husky Energy Incorporated (TSX:HSE) and government agencies assessed a leak that temporarily shut down all crude production in the waters of Newfoundland & Labrador. A leaking flowline from Husky's White Rose Field to the SeaRose storage vessel was detected on Friday, when Husky was restarting production after suspending operations a day earlier due to stormy weather. TransCanada Halts Construction of Two Pipelines in Mexico - Citing numerous delays, runaway costs and alleged acts of extortion, the Canadian pipeline company TransCanada (NYSE:TRP) has halted construction along the routes of two natural gas pipeline projects in Central Mexico that are worth more than $1 billion combined. TransCanada stopped construction in the state of Hidalgo on the Tuxpan-Tula Pipeline and the Tula-Villa de Reyes Pipeline, the company's Mexican subsidiary said in an open letter published in several Mexican newspapers.
