NEW DELHI--August 31, 2022--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--In order to achieve net zero emissions by 2050, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is moving ahead with its strategic plan to install carbon capture units at its mega gas processing plants. UAE oil and gas major Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) plans to increase the annual capacity at its existing carbon capture utilization and storage facility at Reyadah to 5 million tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2), up from the existing annual capacity of 800,000 tonnes. The carbon dioxide will be captured at the Habshan and Shah gas plants and transported to the Reyadah facility.
