Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Ancap, owner and operator of the 50,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) La Teja Refinery, is planning the refinery's next overhaul, which is scheduled for 2011. Overhauls generally occur every four years.
During this downtime, units will undergo routine inspection, cleaning and maintenance, and new units that are under construction will be connected.
The 9,000-BBL/d fluid catalytic cracking unit (FCCU) will undergo repairs to its cyclones and furnace refractory replacement. Also, 250 furnace tubes and the fractionating column lining will be replaced.
