U.S. Crude Oil Stocks Surge - U.S. crude oil stockpiles jumped by nearly 14 million barrels last week while fuel inventories plunged, as production and refining output slowly came back online in the wake of the Texas winter storms, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Wednesday. Crude inventories rose by 13.8 million barrels in the week ending March 5 to 498.4 million barrels. U.S. gasoline stocks fell by 11.9 million barrels in the week to 231.6 million barrels. Distillate stockpiles fell by 5.5 million barrels. (Reuters)

U.S. Natural Gas Output to Rise, Demand to Fall in 2021 - U.S. natural gas production will edge up in 2021, while demand declines for a second year in a row as economic fallout from coronavirus lockdowns continue to plague the market, the EIA said in its Short-Term Energy Outlook on Tuesday. The EIA projected dry gas production will rise to 91.35 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) in 2021 and 92.83 Bcf/d in 2022 from 91.34 Bcf/d in 2020. That compares with an all-time high of 93.06 Bcf/d in 2019. (Reuters)
Israel's Leviathan Gas Field to Sell $1.7 Billion of Natural Gas in 2021 - Israel's offshore Leviathan field will sell about $1.7 billion of natural gas in 2021, or around 10 billion cubic meters, about 12% more than previously forecast, Delek Drilling said on Wednesday. (Reuters)
