RWE AG, a German electric utilities company based in Essen, agreed to buy all the electricity generated by the upcoming 219-megawatt Northwester 2 offshore wind park off the coast of Zeebrugge in Belgium. The park's average annual output is estimated to be about 800 gigawatt-hours per year. RWE intends to sell the power to its large industrial and municipal customers. The project consists of 23 turbines and is set to be commissioned by the fourth quarter of 2020.
