LyondellBasell is on schedule to perform a 60-day planned turnaround on the 1.7 billion-pound-per-year OP 1 ethylene unit in Channelview, Texas. Expectations are to bring the unit offline in late February and restart the unit in mid-April.
Formosa Plastics is on schedule to perform a 90-day planned turnaround on the 1.65 billion-pound-per-year Olefins 1 ethylene unit located at its Point Comfort, Texas, plant. The unit is expected to be shut down on March 15, and will restart June 12.
ExxonMobil Chemical rescheduled a 70-day turnaround on the Main Train ethylene unit consisting of the 1.10 billion-pound-per-year ECLA-W and 1 billion-pound-per-year OLA-2x units located at its Baton Rouge, Louisiana, plant. The turnaround, originally planned for June, is now scheduled for October 2021.
International
Morvarid Petrochemical Company remains on schedule to perform a 25-day maintenance turnaround on the 1.10 billion-pound-per-year ethylene unit, starting January 26, at its Assaluyeh Complex in Iran. Expectations are to complete repairs and restart the unit by February 19.
Sibur-Kstovo OOO is on schedule to perform a 25-day planned turnaround, on April 17, on the 859 million-pound-per-year ethylene unit at its Kstovo, Russia, petrochemicals complex. Expectations are to complete repairs and restart the unit by May 11.
Asahi Kasei Mitsubishi Chemical Ethylene Corporation has delayed the restart of the 740.75 million-pound-per-year propylene unit located at its Mizushima Ethylene Plant in Okayama, Japan. The unit was shut down on January 14 due to a mechanical issue, and restart was originally scheduled for January 21. Now expectations are to complete repairs and resume normal operations on January 24.
