System Energy Resources Incorporated, today, October 19, took 252.18 megawatts (MW) offline from the 1,401-MW Grand Gulf 01 unit at its Grand Gulf Nuclear Power Station in Mississippi, due to a feed pump issue. The unit is operating at 82%.
Talen Energy Corporation's 1,247-MW Susquehanna 02 unit at its Susquehanna Nuclear Power Station is ramping up as it returns from an outage. The unit is operating at 80%, but this event is expected to end later today.
Tennessee Valley Authority's 1,150-MW Watts Bar 02 Steam Turbine (ST) Unit at its Watts Bar Nuclear Power Station in Tennessee has ramped up after performing testing and an inspection on a steam generator. The unit is holding at 95%. In addition, the Watts Bar 01 ST unit is operating at 97% while coasting down for an upcoming refueling on October 29.
