Pacific Gas & Electric Company, on October 25, took 561 megawatts (MW) offline from the 1,122-MW Diablo Canyon 01 unit at its Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Station in California, due to storm surge and high water. The unit is operating at 50%. In addition, the restart of the 1,118-MW Diablo Canyon 02 unit has been rescheduled due to high water levels in a feedwater heater, and a leak in a heat exchanger.
Tennessee Valley Authority's 1,150-MW Watts Bar 01 Steam Turbine (ST) Unit at its Watts Bar Nuclear Power Station in Tennessee is coasting down in advance of a planned refueling starting October 29. The unit is operating at 93%.
Exelon Generation Company LLC, today, October 26, took 120.12 MW offline from the 924-MW Quad Cities 01 unit, due to testing, at its Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station in Illinois. The unit is operating at 87%.
