NextEra Energy Duane Arnold LLC has prematurely closed its Duane Arnold Nuclear Energy Center in Iowa, due to the collapse of a coolant tower.
Florida Power & Light Company's 802-megawatt (MW) Turkey Point 03 unit at its Turkey Point Nuclear Power Station in Florida, was forced offline on August 17 after a reactor trip due to a generator's rising steam level.
Exelon Generation Company LLC today, August 18, took 121.38 MW offline from the Dresden 03 unit at its Dresden Nuclear Power Station in Illinois. The unit is returning from an unplanned outage and operating at 86% capacity. This event is expected to end today.
