Duke Energy Kentucky took 648.4 megawatts (MW) offline from the East Bend 02 unit, on January 25, at its East Bend Power Station #2 in Kentucky due to multiple repairs to boiler tube leaks and the clearing of a boiler slag clog. The unit is operating at 0%, and this event will end February 14 (originally scheduled for January 31).
Exelon Generation Company LLC took 384.3 MW offline from the James A. Fitzpatrick 01 unit, on February 10, at its James A. Fitzpatrick Nuclear Power Station in New York due to a main turbine trip that was a result of high reactor pressure, an elevated water level and a malfunction to an electrohydraulic control. The unit is operating at 55%, but this event is scheduled to end today.
Constellation Energy Nuclear Group LLC took 96 MW offline from the Calvert Cliffs 01 unit, today, February 11, at its Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Station in Maryland. The unit operating at 89% and is coasting down for an upcoming re-fueling outage. This event is scheduled to end February 15.
