Industrial Info is monitoring the status of plants and facilities that were impacted by 7.5-magnitude earthquake that struck the Indonesian province of Central Sulawesi on Friday, causing tsunamis to hit the coastal capital, Palu City. Multiple structures in the region collapsed due to the earthquake and coastal buildings were wrecked by a 6-meter tsunami that followed minutes after the tremor. A 66-megawatt coal-fired power plant operated by PTLU and a PT Pertamina oil storage facility were confirmed to be shut down due to damage, with several other power stations and two mines also offline. Government rescue efforts are still underway as bodies are found among the debris left by the earthquake and tsunami in Palu and Donggala. Industrial Info's research team will continue to monitor the aftermath of the disaster and report which plants have been affected.
