Tesla Incorporated (NASDAQ:TLSA) (Palo Alto, California) claims to recycle 100% of its electric vehicle (EV) batteries in a closed-loop process using third-party processors.
Redwood Materials Incorporated (Carson City, Nevada) recently raised $700 million and is planning to expand an existing battery-recycling plant in Carson City. It also is developing a grassroot battery recycling plant in Sparks, Nevada.
China leads all countries in battery recycling projects, followed by South Korea, Canada and the U.S.
