SUGAR LAND--December 12, 2013--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Unit 1 at the Saint Lucie Nuclear Power Plant, which is located on Hutchinson Island, near Ft. Pierce, Florida, tripped offline overnight due to a problem with the reactor coolant pump seals. The plant is owned and operated by Florida Power & Light Company (FP&L) (Juno Beach, Florida), a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Incorporated (NYSE:NEE) (Juno Beach).
