In Argentina, the manufacture of agricultural machinery employs approximately 13,000 workers directly and 30,000 indirectly, mainly in the provinces of Santa Fe, Córdoba and Buenos Aires. In the sector, 96% of the companies are small and medium-size enterprises, which on average annually export $255 million to countries such as Brazil, Uruguay, the U.S., Chile and Germany.
