Iran is a major olefin producer in the Middle East, and it continues to invest in this sector. Industrial Info is tracking 40 olefin projects in Iran worth more than $14 billion. The bulk of the investment is in grassroot and unit addition projects, which total more than $12 billion. Other projects include debottlenecking, modernizations and upgrades of the existing facilities. The projects are expected to wrap up by 2021.
