Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Group is implementing a 500,000-ton-per-year, coal-based ethanol project in Qingshui Industrial Park, which is located in the city of Yulin's Yushen Industrial Zone, in China's Shaanxi Province.
The facility, which uses coal as raw material, includes a coal-gasification unit, a syngas-purification unit, a gas-separation unit and a methanol unit, among other features. The owner will use Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Group's DMTE technology.
The company's 100,000-ton-per-year syngas-to-ethanol demonstration project started up in March 2017.
