Industrial Info is tracking 26 capital projects, worth almost $1.7 billion, related to natural gas storage that are set to begin construction in Europe within the next year. More than $1 billion worth is expected to be spent on greenfield developments, with the U.K.'s $673 million Gateway Gas Storage Cavern project accounting for the bulk of the spending.
Other capital projects expected to kick off next year are related to modernizations, storage and plant expansions, and drilling projects, including the remaining greenfield developments in Italy, Poland and Serbia.
