China's Power Consumption Up 5.5% Year Over Year in June, an Industrial Info Market Brief
China's power consumption reached 598.7 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) in June, an increase of 5.5% year over year, according to China's National Energy Administration (NEA).
Power consumption by the primary industries (agriculture, forestry, fishing, mining, and oil & gas production) reached 6.7 billion kWh, an increase of 3.8%; that of the secondary industries (manufacturing) reached 423.8 billion kWh, up 4.9%; and that of the tertiary industries (services) reached 96.4 billion kWh, a jump of 8.1%. Consumption by urban and township residential households reached 71.8 billion kWh, an increase of 5.7% year over year.
