In the first half 2019, China's installation capacity of on-grid wind power increased 9.09 gigawatts (GW). The installed capacity of offshore wind power increased 0.4 GW. As of the end of June 2019, China's accumulative installed capacity of on-grid wind power reached 193 GW, according to the National Energy Administration (NEA) of China.
In the first half 2019, the output of wind power generation reached 214.5 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh), an increase of 11.5% year over year; the national average utilization of wind power reached 1,133 hours, and abandoned wind power due to restrictions in consumption nationwide dropped to 10.5 billion kWh, mainly in northwest China's Xinjiang, Gansu and Inner Mongolia regions.
